Brzezinski Skewers Bill Clinton: He Needs to ‘Apologize for Being a Sexual Harasser’

MSNBC's "Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski castigated former President Bill Clinton on Monday in response to Hillary Clinton attacking President Donald Trump for previously being accused of sexual assault in an interview last week.

NBC's White House correspondent Kristen Welker played audio from Clinton's interview with WABC's Rita Cosby on Friday and then read out Trump's tweet attacking Clinton.

"We have a man who's accused of sexual assault sitting in the Oval Office, don't we? And the very credible accusations against him have not been taken seriously," Clinton said of Trump.

"Crooked Hillary Clinton is the worst (and biggest) loser of all time. She just can’t stop, which is so good for the Republican Party. Hillary, get on with your life and give it another try in three years!" Trump wrote on Twitter.

Brzezinski blurted out "Oh my God" while Welker was reading Trump's tweet and later said that her outburst wasn't in response to Trump's tweet for once.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry, actually. Hillary Clinton needs to stop. She needs to stop talking about this topic unless Bill Clinton wants to come forward and apologize for being a sexual harasser, for settling with women. He needs to apologize," Brzezinski said.

"He needs to apologize as quickly as Al Franken did, as Mark Halperin did, and as much as he wants to. These men who are apologizing, we need to deal with them, but if you are not going to apologize and it's clear you've done something wrong, please, please, you the politician and your wife, the politician, need to not talk about these issues," Brzezinski continued.

Brzezinski went on to say that Clinton needs to come to the table with "some honesty." She then pivoted to talking about Trump and said that there is enough on-the-record information to know that he doesn't have a good track record on women. She then indicated that Trump is in the White House because of the Clintons' "hypocrisy."

Brzezinski called Clinton a "predator" last week and said that he sexually harassed Monica Lewinsky, the White House intern that he had a series of sexual encounters with when she was in her early 20s.

"There are cases where the predator flourished and continued to be the president of the United States. I'm talking about Bill Clinton," she said. "Where the women were attacked, where they were settled with, and their lives were ruined. Monica Lewinsky. And forever stamped with a scarlet letter."
