Mayor will decide in next two weeks...Recent PPP data puts Christie up 50-36 against Booker in hypothetical race
Newark Mayor Cory Booker said he is “absolutely” considering a run for governor against Gov. Chris Christie in a Sunday interview with Bob Schieffer.
Booker said he will make a decision about the gubernatorial campaign in the next two weeks. When asked, the Newark mayor said he would also consider a run for Senate.
Recent Public Policy Polling data shows Christie dominating a hypothetical race against Booker, 50-36. A strong majority of New Jersey voters approve of Christie, including 56 percent of Democrats.
