Jennifer Psaki still describes herself as the “traveling press secretary for Obama campaign” in her Twitter profile bio, despite giving her first press briefing as State Department spokeswoman Monday.
Psaki, a former White House deputy communications director and campaign spokeswoman, joined the State Department earlier this year and has been in training. Her name has appeared on State Department press releases since last month.
The former Obama campaign spokeswoman is facing some potential difficulties in her new post, as the official she replaces, Victoria Nuland, is under fire for making key revisions to the Benghazi talking points, including the removal of references to past attacks.
Psaki has not tweeted since February.
