Navy SEAL veteran Marcus Luttrell criticized President Obama and the Marine Corps for their actions in the wake of the Chattanooga military facility attacks last week.

In a Facebook post Monday night, Luttrell balked at the Marine Corps’ decision to shutter recruiting offices within 40 miles of Chattanooga and urge military recruiters nationwide not to wear their uniforms.

"I have to tell y’all I laughed out loud, if anyone thinks for one second a Marine is gonna take his uniform off because he cares about his safety or is scared of some sh-tbag walking in off the street and trying this again (WRONG) that’s not gonna happen, that’s not how we respond in the military when we get hit," Luttrell wrote.

"We don’t take off our uniforms, drop our weps and run," he declared.

Luttrell, who was awarded a Navy Cross for his service in Afghanistan and had his experiences chronicled in the 2013 film Lone Survivoralso suggested that the Department of Defense "outfit every recruiting station w/ firearms, grenades or a F.,?!ing tank."

"This goes down again and there is a good chance you’ll find the person beaten to death by the water cooler or [with a] stapler," he continued. "The bullets will be the last of your problems. Think on it. RIP brothers, your families will miss you, the country will mourn you, and those still wearing the uniform will never forget you."

Several Republican lawmakers and presidential candidates -- including chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee John McCain (R., Ariz.), Jeb Bush, and Scott Walker -- have called on military personnel like recruiters to be armed for protection in the aftermath last week’s attacks carried out by alleged gunman Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez that killed four Marines and one sailor.

Furthermore, in a later post, Luttrell appeared to call on President Obama specifically, writing "Oh one more thing, lower the FLAG!!!!!!!! Sir."

Obama has not ordered flags be flown at half-staff to honor the five individuals killed in the attack.
