CNN Eyewitness: Terrorists In Theater Unmasked, Shooting Hostages

November 13, 2015

An eyewitness that made it out of the Bataclan Theater in Paris told CNN Friday that the terrorists inside were calm, determined, and unmasked.

He said that the gunmen entered the theater with AK-47 Kalashnikovs and fired "randomly to the crowd."

"People yelled, screamed and everybody lying on the floor, and it lasted for ten minutes," he said. "Ten minutes, ten horrific minutes where everybody was on the floor covering their head and we heard so many gunshots."

The eyewitness said that the terrorists were calm, silently shooting their victims.

"The terrorists were very calm, very determined, and they reloaded three or four times their weapons and they didn't shout anything," he said. "They didn't say anything. "

He said that he saw the face of one man who looked very young.

"I've seen the face of one guy, one terrorist. He was very young. He was like 20 years old, 25 maximum. […] Like a random guy holding a Kalashnikov, that's all," he said.

The man narrowly escaped and saw 20 to 25 bodies on the floor.

"I was luckily at the top of the stage, in front of the stage, […] and I found an exit when the terrorists reloaded their guns," he said, "I climbed on the stage and we found an exit, and when I went on the street, I seen 20 to 25 bodies lying on the floor and people were very badly injured."

He said his friends were still inside the theater.

"I have some friends right now who are still inside the Bataclan who are hiding because they are not sure if there are still terrorists in there, and they are hiding in some kind of room in the dark and they text me, and they are very afraid," he said.
