Boehner: ‘I Was Insulted’ by Putin’s Op-Ed

Speaker of the House John Boehner (R., Ohio) bluntly said he was “insulted” Thursday by Russian president Vladimir Putin’s op-ed in the New York Times arguing against U.S. military intervention in Syria.

He didn’t immediately elaborate, but he was pressed to explain more at the end of his weekly press conference.

“Oh, I think the president does foreign policy … I’ve probably already said more than I should have said,” he said. “But you got the truth.”
