‘All signs point to Iran’

Seven are dead and more than 30 wounded in a bus bombing hours ago at the Burgas International Airport in the Black Sea resort city of Burgas, Bulgaria. Most are Israeli tourists. Citing months of failed attacks on Israeli civilians abroad, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, "All signs point to Iran." He has vowed a forceful response.

Initial reports claimed a suicide bomber carried out the attack, but later reports indicated that a bomb was placed in the bus’s luggage hold.

The victims are believed to have arrived on a charter flight from Tel Aviv that landed at 4:50 p.m. local time. Bulgarian TV reports that an anonymous caller to a tourist office said Israelis would be "welcomed by two bombs."

In a statement, Netanyahu said, "All signs point towards Iran.  Over the last few months we have seen Iran’s attempts to attack Israelis in Thailand, India, Georgia, Kenya, Cyprus and other countries. Exactly 18 years to the day after the horrendous attack on the Jewish Community Center in Argentina, deadly Iranian terrorism continues to strike at innocent people. This is a global Iranian terror onslaught and Israel will react firmly to it."

According to Israel’s Ynet News, Israel has suspended flights bound for Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Greece, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, and Azerbaijan.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said the United States "condemns such attacks on innocent people, especially children, in the strongest possible terms," adding that the President's "thoughts and prayers are with the families of those killed and injured."
