The Environmental Protection Agency is looking to hire a "Diversity and Inclusion Specialists," who will make $100,000 or more per year.

The agency will hire the employee to set up a diversity and inclusion "advisory body," according to a government job posting.

"Earth Day is every day at EPA!" the agency said. "At EPA, you can protect human health and the environment of all Americans, and you’ll discover that EPA is one great place to work!"

"We offer great benefits and work flexibilities, and our diverse workforce connects to more than just a career—we share a common passion to promote a cleaner, healthier environment," the EPA said.

The salary range for Diversity and Inclusion Specialists is between $99,785 and $146,570 per year.

The employee will be in charge of implementing a "diversity strategy" within the EPA's Office of Research and Development. Other duties include analyzing recruitment and retention.

The hire will "initiate collaborative efforts between Minority Academic Institutions and EPA Special Emphasis Program Managers to establish an ORD diversity and inclusion advisory body," the agency said.

The EPA is accepting applications until Thursday to fill the full-time position.

The job is only open to current EPA employees.

Update Oct. 25, 11:12 A.M.: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that the EPA was hiring 15 "diversity and inclusion specialists," costing taxpayers up to $2.1 million. The agency is only hiring one specialist at a salary range of $99,785 and $146,570. The Washington Free Beacon regrets the error.
