Nancy Pelosi Refuses
To Condemn Bill Maher's Comments

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) refused to condemn Bill Maher's comments today, in video captured by Frank Strategies:

REPORTER: Madame Speaker, quick question.

AIDE: We’re on our way to—

REPORTER: Will you [condemn] comments that Bill Maher made, and should the Obama Super PAC give that money back?

REPORTER: Why won’t you speak out about that?

PELOSI: We have a press conference now.

REPORTER: Why won’t you speak out about that? And what would say to people who might consider that political hackery?

In an interview last week with the Washington Post's Greg Sargent, Pelosi slammed Rush Limbaugh's remarks about Georgetown law student and women's rights activist Sandra Fluke.

"They won’t disassociate themselves from it. They’re tattooed with that," she said in the interview. "I wouldn’t want those words repeated in my office."

Maher has previously called former Alaska governor Sarah Palin "a dumb twat" and a "cunt." The HBO host recently announced he would donate $1 million to Priorities USA, the pro-Obama Super PAC.

Reps. Sheila Jackson Lee (D., Texas) and Jan Schakowsky (D., Ill.) refused to comment Wednesday on Maher’s prior remarks about former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, despite repeated questioning in a video also by Frank Strategies.
