Late-night comedians are desperately competing for President Donald Trump's "Fake News Media" awards by using the same tactic of posting "for your consideration" ads.

Trump announced on Twitter Tuesday night that he will be announcing "the most dishonest & corrupt media awards of the year" on Monday.

The late-night comedians responded by copying each other in an attempt to get the "Fake News Media" award, expressing the view that receiving an award would be a badge of honor.

CBS' "Late Night" host Stephen Colbert threw his hat in the ring for Trump's awards by putting a giant "for your consideration" billboard in Times Square, CBS News reported.

The TV host posed for the black-and-white ad, in the style of movie studio Oscar campaigns. The billboard says the "Late Show" wishes to be considered for "all categories," including "best Chex mixing," "Least Breitbarty" and "Smallest Button."

Colbert also tweeted he was "so excited" for Trump's announcement, and he looked forward to seeing CNN host Anderson Cooper "on the red carpet."

"Personally, I'm excited for the most dishonest and corrupt media awards of the year or as we call in the biz, 'the fakies,' because nothing gives you more  credibility than Donald Trump calling you a liar and I, of course, don't want to get snubbed," Colbert said during his show Wednesday night.

"Daily Show" host Trevor Noah followed suit by posting a "for your consideration" ad on Twitter that included multiple quotes about him from conservative media outlets, including "Political propaganda disguised as entertainment," "Trevor Noah is an anti-Trump hack," and "Monotonous... liberal dogma."

"What an honour to be fake considered along with @StephenAtHome @iamsambee for the fakest media awards. #TheFakies," Noah wrote, quote tweeting his ad.

TBS' "Full Frontal" host Samantha Bee also released a "for your consideration" ad on Twitter where she seemed confident she would be "sweeping the #Dishonesties this year."

"Nice try @colbertlateshow and @TheDailyShow, but we’re sweeping the #Dishonesties this year. (P.S. @realdonaldtrump, how about a female host next time?" Bee tweeted.
