An Iranian television station broadcasting the Oscars on Sunday night blurred over part of actress Charlize Theron's dress when she was presenting an award onstage.

Theron was wearing a low-cut sleeveless dress at the awards ceremony, but The Iran Labor News Agency (ILNA) censored her to preserve modesty, The Guardian reported on Wednesday

Theron was presenting the award for Best Foreign Language Film, which was won by Asghar Farhadi, an Iranian, for his film "The Salesman."

Photos from ILNA/ABC show that at one point Theron's skin was blacked out with a turtleneck and at other times, it was just blurred.

Theron is not the only person that this happened to.

Farhadi was not present at the ceremony in protest to President Donald Trump's travel ban, so Anousheh Ansari, an Iranian-American engineer, accepted it on his behalf.

Her dress was not modest enough for ILNA, either, and parts of it were blurred.

The clip was shared by the Iranian group My Stealthy Freedom, which raises awareness and lobbies against Iranian state rules that convict women who do not wear head scarfs, The Guardian reported.

The founder of My Stealthy Freedom Masih Alinejad wrote on the groups Facebook page, "Another typical example of the Islamic Republic's fear of naked arms of Iranian women. It is shameful indeed, but that is how the Iranian media outlets based within the country have been covering such events for years."

"At a time when Farhadi chooses an astronaut and Nasa scientist to prove a point about human rights not having ‘borders’, the Islamic Republic of Iran does the complete opposite by using Farhadi’s wonderful Oscars statement for their own propaganda while blind to the meaning of his point," she wrote.

Here is Theron's dress that is not censored.
