Fox News Thumps MSNBC in JFK Coverage Ratings

Despite wall-to-wall coverage of the 50th anniversary of the President John F. Kennedy's assassination, MSNBC got thumped by Fox News in the cable news ratings Friday night.

According to Mediaite, Fox News' Special Report was also No. 2 overall in all of cable news Friday, drawing nearly 2.2 million viewers. Only usual ratings champ The O'Reilly Factor had more at 2,326,000.

Special Report was also the top 25-54 demographic show for the night, with 407,000. That more than doubled Bret Baier's 6 p.m. competitor, Rev. Al Sharpton (186,000) at MSNBC.

In prime time, Fox News trounced MSNBC and CNN overall Friday, averaging 1.82 million viewers to MSNBC's 558,000 and CNN's 518,000.
