Former "Saturday Night Live" actor Chris Kattan said that he wants to return to the show to play First Lady Melania Trump.

Kattan revealed to reporters after the season finale of "Dancing with the Stars" his desire to play the first lady, Fox News reported. He had been a contestant on the show before being the first one eliminated.

Kattan said that he would do a good job playing Melania.

"I think I could do a pretty good Melania," Kattan said. "I'd like to do something on the hand swatting…when they go home, they're just swatting [each other], like, 'Don't touch my hand. Give me my things.'"

Kattan was referencing a recent viral moment when Melania appeared to slap away President Donald Trump's hand.

If the Melania role doesn't work out for Kattan, he believes he can play a few other high-profile politicians.

"Maybe Paul Ryan," Kattan suggested. "What's his name who's always online with the [teen girl]? Anthony Weiner, because they always go by looks. But now he's really become disgusting, so I don't know if I would want to portray him."

The actor appeared on "SNL" from 1996 to 2003 and has since guest starred on numerous TV shows.

Kattan retold a story of when a passenger on a plane encouraged Kattan to get back into comedy and that he was needed more than ever.

"He was telling me how comedy's so important and he was looking at me…and I was like, 'Well, I'm not on SNL anymore' and he's like, 'You still have a job to do,'" Kattan said.

The role of Melania is currently played by SNL cast member Cecily Strong.
