Christie on Time Mag.: If You’re Bothered By It, You Don’t Belong in Public Leadership

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie dismissed any suggestion that he was bothered by this week's Time Magazine cover on Fox News Sunday:

CHRIS WALLACE: Time Magazine has your silhouette on the cover of the magazine this week, along with the headline "The Elephant in the Room." I got to tell you more than any other question people wanted me to ask you how you feel about that?

CHRIS CHRISTIE: Oh, who cares, I mean seriously. I'm on the cover of Time Magazine, you know. It is certainly not the first weight joke that has been thrown my way over the course of the last four yes, Chris. So you know, It doesn't matter to me. I haven't seen the issue yet, I mean I have just seen the cover, I haven't read the issue yet, it doesn't matter to me, it really doesn't. And if you are going to be bothered by that kind of stuff then you don't belong in public leadership. They can say whatever they like it's fine by me.
