CBS News: State Dept Interfered with Investigations into Employee Misconduct

A State Department inspector general's report draft obtained by CBS News reveals that departmental investigations into misconduct by State Department employees were influenced, manipulated, or called off by higher-ups, CBS News reported Monday morning.

According to an employee of the IG office, one instance involved criminal wrongdoing, but agents were told to stop investigating the case. Other cases involved former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's protective security detail engaging prostitutes, as well as the case of a U.S. ambassador soliciting prostitutes in a public park.
