Former Vice President Joe Biden and pop musician Lady Gaga are working together to open trauma center for victims of sexual assault.

These facilities, which are still in the planning stage, would provide resources to help victims both mentally and physically after they experience sexual assault, The Hill reported.

"We (want to) set up trauma centers where women can go to get the long-term help they need to deal with these crises," Biden said Monday at Glamour’s Women of the Year Summit. "We finally are recognizing the long-term impacts on the health of women and men who’ve been abused."

Gaga and Biden have previously worked together on the "It’s On Us" sexual assault prevention campaign launched in 2014 by Biden and former President Barack Obama, which aimed to end sexual assault on college campuses.

The pop singer has spoken publicly about her own experience of sexual assault. On Monday Biden praised the bravery of individuals who spoke out about either being sexually harassed or abused. The two released a PSA in October promoting the "It’s On Us" campaign.

"It’s a great frontier I want to be a part of," Biden said.

Speculation that Biden will run for president has grown recently, as Democrats have continued seeking a figure to oppose President Donald Trump. Biden said Monday that he is "not closing the door" on getting back into politics but that for now he is focused on his book about his late son Beau.
