Three Congressmen sent a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton requesting important documents concerning mistakes the State Department made leading to the death of Amb. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012.
Reps. Darrell Issa (R., Calif.), Edward Royce (R., Calif.), and Jason Chaffetz (R., Utah) in their letter requested:
1. Documents and Communications, including e-mails, cables, and memorabilia sent or received by you, deputy secretary Burns, deputy secretary for management and resource Nides, the undersecretary for management Kennedy, and their respective staffs, referring or relating to physical security platforms, security personnel staffing, security planning, and diplomatic security.
2. A complete list of every individual—including name, title, and agency— interviewed by the ARB for the Dec. 19, 2012, report, and any documents and communications referring or relating to interviews.
3. Video footage of Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the Benghazi compound.
The materials were requested to be sent no later than Feb. 11, 2013.
