Top Senior Moments from the Benghazi Hearing

Hillary Clinton testified for an obscenely long time Thursday before the Benghazi select committee. Most of the questioning from Republican lawmakers was hysterical and sub-competent. We didn't really learn anything we didn't already know, namely:

  1. The Obama administration fudged its messaging after the Benghazi attacks because they were very concerned about the political fallout.
  2. At this point, most voters don't really care.
  3. These hearings are almost always pointless and House Republicans aren't the most capable group of individuals.
  4. Bill and Hillary don't often spend the night together.

Matt Drudge was among the few observers to focus on the actual news from the hearing:

Here are the top senior moments from the hearing.

Memory Lapse

Note: This isn't the first time.

Hysteria Sets In

You can see the moment the hysteria takes hold, when her "normal" laugh achieves escape velocity, resulting in an "open your mouth as wide as you can" c*ckle.

The Unstoppable Cough

It's either A) a legitimate health scare, or B) an elaborate ruse to convince voters she's "human." Those are the options.

Clinton's hearing, meanwhile, appeared fine throughout the day, although it's possible she was wearing an aid. Her campaign events continue to exude a "Grandma, the TV is way too loud!" quaintness about them.

Note: Nancy Pelosi is also old.
