The Tom Brady Ruling Is the Best Thing to Happen to Hillary Clinton All Summer

A federal judge (appointed by Bill Clinton) on Thursday overturned the NFL's four-game suspension against New England patriots quarterback Tom Brady. It is the best news Hillary Clinton has heard all summer, as her presidential campaign been plagued by scandal and extreme unlikability.

Assuming the ruling stands, Brady will receive no punishment for "breaking the rules," "lying" about it, and "destroying the evidence." Rightly so. The Brady witch hunt is a good reminder that the real victims of so-called "inequality" in America are rich white people like Hillary Clinton who are unfairly targeted for for their success.

Like Brady, Hillary Clinton may have blatantly violated some misguided rules (or even laws) in pursuit of a greater good (winning). Both were forced to lie about it and to destroy the evidence, but only because some members of the partisan media subscribe to the ridiculous notion that powerful figures should be held to the same standard as everyone else.

In fact, there is nothing more American than achieving success by cheating strategically, behaving dishonestly, marrying a talented spouse, and "doing whatever it takes," even if it's not technically "allowed" by the "rules." Trying to prosecute these "crimes" is a distraction from the real issues.

Our national obsession with punishing success has real consequences. The Patriots are still going to lose draft picks, and even if Hillary gets off, she might not become president someday, even though she really wants to and has promised to fix our rigged system that treats some people differently than others. One of her aides, Bryan Pagliano, will have to publicly invoke his right to avoid self-incriminating testimony in front of Congress, and that will be pretty embarrassing.

Someone might even get indicted, and they probably won't be very rich. That is preferable to Hillary Clinton facing charges, obviously, but entirely unnecessary because we wouldn't be in this situation if we just stopped asking questions and let rich, powerful white people get on with their successful lives.
