Obama's War on Women's Sports

President Barack Obama has a women's sports problem. We know he loves male sports because he somehow manages to closely follow all the major ones despite presumably doing all the things presidents are supposed to do on a daily basis, such as attend cabinet meeting and lead the free world. But where is the love for the ladies?

Obama's Twitter account, @POTUS, follows just 66 accounts. Most of them belong to other members of the Obama administration. He also follow four sports franchise, all from his hometown of Chicago: The Bulls (NBA), the White Sox (MLB), da Bears (NFL), and the Blackhawks (NHL). Problematically, Obama follows exactly zero female sports franchise.

Wow.

Adding insult to injury, the president refused to answer a question from Free Beacon ombudsman Biff Diddle on Wednesday during a Q&A session on Twitter, although he did find time to weigh in on guacamole. Probably because he just doesn't care:

Obama clearly has a fondness for balls, but only when they're attached to a man. He prefers to play golf in all-male foursomes, for example, and has been criticized for the "boys club" atmosphere of his administration. His White House pays female employees less than male employees.

Other Chicago female sports team ignored by the president include the Chicago Red Stars (Soccer) and the Chicago Bandits (Softball). That's embarrassing. Not "liking" women's sports is a flimsy excuse. It doesn't even hold water, given that furthering the cause of equality is plenty enjoyable in and of itself. Everyone knows that.

Our problematic president just can't help himself. Earlier this week, Obama suggested that his hetero marriage to his wife Michelle was more "gratifying" than the Supreme Court's ruling affirming the right of all gays to marry.

Ugh.  Talk about a foul ball.
