Kanye West Endorses Joe Biden

Music-related celebrity Kanye West has officially declared his intention to run for president in 2020. West made the announcement Sunday night during a rambling speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, where he was accepting the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award. He is 38 years old. After confessing to smoking "a little something" to take the edge off, West announced that his future candidacy would focus on "We the millennials, bro."

Regrettably, the media coverage of West's announcement has neglected to mention the most significant detail. By pledging to run in 2020, Kayne implicitly endorsed Vice President Joe Biden in the 2016 presidential race. Scranton Joe has yet to formally enter the race, but with Hillary Clinton tanking in the polls, it is only a matter of time before the Biden train comes rolling 'round that bend. For his part, Biden is reportedly considering a one-term presidency, thereby clearing the way for West to succeed him as the Democratic Party standard bearer:

If Vice President Joe Biden makes the leap into the Democratic presidential race, he could promise that he would serve just one term in the White House, journalist and author Carl Bernstein said Friday.

"And one thing that I keep hearing about Biden is that if he were to declare and say, because age is such a problem for him if he does, I want to be a one-term president. I want to serve for four years, unite Washington. I’ve dealt with the Republicans in Congress all my public life," Bernstein told CNN’s "New Day."

"I think there’s a conversation going on to that effect among his aides and friends," he said. "It could light fire to the current political environment."

Agreeing to be Biden's running mate in 2016 would make sense for West, who, like the VP, is frequently compared to Jesus.
