The Republican Governors Association is now following the Republican governor of Ohio on Instagram, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.
Previously the Free Beacon reported that the Washington-based 527 organization, which Gov. John Kasich of Ohio follows along with 21 other accounts on the photo-sharing site, was not reciprocating the social media outreach efforts of the former chairman of the House Budget Committee.
It could not be determined when the Republican Governors Association account began following Kasich, but it appears to have happened following the previous Free Beacon report.
Among other content, Kasich’s Instagram feed currently features a brief video of the Ohio governor and presidential candidate appearing with Mitt Romney, whom Kasich also follows on the site. "Hey, I want to see this guy win Ohio tomorrow," Romney says in the clip.
As of the Free Beacon’s most recent analysis, Romney does not follow Kasich.
