I'd just like to announce in this blog post at the Editor's Blog, that blogging is dead.
Websites where idiosyncratic voices could opine on most anything they wanted are dead. Group blogs where people came together to write about topics that interested them—law or politics or sports, say—are dead. Conservative blogs are dead. Liberal blogs are dead.
Blogging is dead.
Where will we go to find writers just tossing off ideas and blathering on about their personal lives? Where will we go to find funny little memes and jokes? Where will we go for the hottest of dumb takes on the shortest of notice?
If you find out, tell me. For now, I'll be mourning. Mourning the death of blogs.
