Former Representative Barney Frank (D., Mass.) said that he would accept the vacant Massachusetts Senate once Senator Kerry (D., Mass.) begins his tenure as Secretary of State.
“It’s only a three month period, I wouldn’t want to do anything more. I wouldn’t want to run again” Frank told Morning Joe Friday morning.
Although Frank originally said he would not accept the position, the recent fiscal cliff deal and the coming continued talks “means that February, March, and April are going to be among the most important months in American financial history,” something the former chairman of the committee on Financial Services feels he should be a part of.
